Tybee Island is a great place to walk. I noticed that the acorns have begun to fall from the live oak trees.

We drove into Savannah and parked along Broad Street. To our great surprise, street parking is free on Sunday. We walked on River Street through Emmet Park. It was a chilly, windy day. I love the old live oak trees dripping with Spanish moss.

Looking for a lunch spot, we passed this place with very southern fare. What are cathead biscuits???

We had beautiful views of the river.

We made our way down the historic steep stone steps and down the cobblestone ramp to the Riverfront. There was an art fair with lots of jewelry and leather goods for sale.

We walked through the River Street Market.

We had grilled chicken sandwiches at Boars Head Tavern.
We made our way back to the Jeep and headed back.
Tim watched the Ravens game on his phone…tough loss today. Then, he watched the NASCAR race. I spent the afternoon with a book.
We went out this evening to Lazaretto Creek Fishing Pier. We watched the sun go down.
