1356 October 17, 2026 Hello Tybee

I slept late this morning and when I got up, Tim was almost finished with his morning stretches.  He went for a walk and I got busy!!  Today was a travel day and there were some dark storm clouds on the horizon.  It is always more fun getting ready when it is NOT raining!

We were on the road before the first sprinkles came and thankfully, we were driving south and away form the weather.  It was cloudy and windy though.

We stopped for a break for breakfast and I cooked some scrambled eggs.  Later, we made another stop and Tim took a short nap.  It was 2pm by the time that we pulled into our site on Tybee Island. 

The big boys in Atlanta had baseball games today. I navigated for Tim and bounced back and forth watching the boys play. I missed most of Austin’s game but I got to watch Oliver pitch and catch and bat.

We both rested for a while this afternoon.  Tim went to the fitness room and I went for a walk before dinner.

We went to Salt Island Fish House for a really good dinner.  I had grilled watermelon salad and shrimp bruschetta…two recipes I will want to re-create!

We drove to the end of the island and walked the boardwalk to the beach.  It was windy and we were actually chilly!
