1353 October 14, 2026 Headed South

I took a quick two mile walk along the main drag in Holden Beach.  Tim was ready and waiting; eager to get on the road. 

We traveled south on 17 and into South Carolina.  We passed Myrtle Beach with its high-rises and beach stores and restaurants and we were glad to leave it behind!

We stopped for a break at Buck Hall Recreation Area.  We parked in the shade of the live oak trees.  It was a perfect day, bright and breezy and I enjoyed my lunch with my face in the sun. 

We arrived in Charleston at the KOA in early afternoon.

We rested and then I went to the Publix across the street. 

This evening I actually cooked a yummy dinner of turkey taco salad.

Afterward, we biked around the campground and in the surrounding shopping area.  We found a swing and sat to watch the sunset.
